The DCA features two challenge types:

PROGRESSION CHALLENGES are all about learning new tricks and creative skills at your own pace. Content submissions get verified by the community to make sure they're legit. Stack enough verifications to complete a PROGRESSION CHALLENGE! Here’s how it works:

  • To begin a PROGRESSION CHALLENGE, a user reads the “Challenge Description” to understand the action the challenge is asking the user to take (sports trick, art, music, more).
  • The User then creates content that shows them taking the action described in the “Challenge Description” and submits their content to the PROGRESSION CHALLENGE.
  • After submitting, that content goes into the Voting Stack where peers can take one of three actions:
  • Report the content as unrelated, repeated or inappropriate. If a submission is reported (3) times it is removed from the Voting Stack and sent to DCA admins for review.
  • Skip over the content if they don’t want to verify it.
  • Verify Users content. If a submission is Verified (3) times, it is deemed legit and is entered into the feed. To win a PROGRESSION CHALLENGE, you must have (3) submission to that specific challenge deemed legit. Specifically, each of (3) submissions need to be verified (3) times. The “Verify” action is taken when a user views the content and reasonably believes that it is accomplishing what is described in the “Challenge Description”
  • After completing a challenge the first time, you can continue completing it by submitting and having (3) more submissions deemed legit by the DCA community. Users can continue to stack digital challenge completions. Real rewards may or may not be associated with this action.
  • After completing a challenge, Submitting Users will receive a notification indicating that you completed the challenge.
  • Submitting Users can find their completed challenges in the “rewards” section of your profile.
  • Submitting Users can tap into each individual reward to find instructions on how to redeem your reward.
  • Submitting Users will also receive email notifications when they have won a challenge with a reward associated with it.

BEST OF CHALLENGES are all about submitting your best action sports and creative content. Content submissions are "upvoted" by the community. Win a "Best Of" challenge by reaching a certain amount of "upvotes" first before all the rewards are won! Here’s how it works:

  • Each BEST OF CHALLENGE has a specific amount of “Upvotes” that are required to win. In the BEST OF CHALLENGE Profile and Challenge Description, users can see how many Upvotes you need to collect to win and what action they need to take for their content to be acceptable for the specific BEST OF CHALLENGE.
  • Each BEST OF CHALLENGE has a set amount of Rewards that can be won. In the BEST OF CHALLENGES Profile, Users can see how many rewards are available to win and how many have already been won. Once all the rewards have been won, you can still win the challenge, however instead of the brand reward, users  will win a consolation prize which may vary.
  • Rewards are given out based on the first submissions to receive the indicated amount of upvotes on their content. This creates urgency for users to submit content.
  • To begin a BEST OF CHALLENGE, a user reads the “Challenge Description” to know what the required action is that makes their content applicable to the specific challenge.
  • The user then  submits their content to a BEST OF CHALLENGES.
  • After submitting, that content goes into the Voting Stack where peers can take one of three actions:
  • Report the content as unrelated, repeated or inappropriate. If a Submission is reported (3) times it is removed from the Voting Stack and sent to DCA admins for review. Content is removed from the challenge if:
  • The content does not accomplish the action outlined in the “Challenge Description.”
  • The content is deemed inappropriate based on DIVERT staff reasonable judgement.
  • A Submitting User clearly submitted the same piece of content multiple times in order to increase their odds of winning the challenge without submitting unique pieces of content.
  • Skip over the content if they don’t want to Upvote it.
  • Upvote your content. If a submission is Upvote (x) times it is entered into the Feed. The UpVote function is taken when a Voting User believes that the Submitting User’s content accomplished the Challenge Action described in the “Challenge Description”
  • To win a BEST OF CHALLENGE, a submission must meet the amount of Upvotes Required to Win.
  • After winning A BEST OF CHALLENGE, Submitting User will receive a notification indicating that you won the challenge.
  • A Submitting User will also receive an email notification when they win a BEST OF CHALLENGE with reward details.
  • Submitting User can find their completed challenges in the “rewards” section of the Submitting Users profile with reward details.
  • You can tap into each individual reward to find instructions on how to redeem your reward.
